"Star Wars 7" photos leak have been published in various media outlets, prompting director J.J. Abrams to post a cheeky reply online, but it doesn't mean George Lucas cares. Meanwhile, Luke Skywalker seems to be sporting a beard in the new film.
A TMZ cameraman caught up with George Lucas and asked him about the "Star Wars 7" photos leak and received a curt reply:
"I'm retired," George Lucas, who sold the franchise to Disney for $4 billion, said.
Last week, TMZ published "Star Wars 7" photos leak showing the Millennium Falcon which prompted J.J. Abrams to post a reply: "I wish people would stop leaking photos from Episode VII. And making ridiculous claims that the Millennium Falcon is in the movie."
The note, however, was pinned to-the Dejarik table.
Meanwhile, Luke Skywalker will sport a beard in Star Wars: Episode VII, while Josh Trank will direct a Star Wars spinoff.
"Inside the Magic" host Ricky Brigante tweeted on June 7: "Mark Hamill says the last day he shaved was the day after the @StarWars cast table read. Beard is for Ep VII."
According to Epoch Times, Mark Hamill's beard was very prominent during the Star Wars Weekend 2014 at the Walt Disney World Resort.
Mark Hamill also talked about his preparation for "Star Wars 7" during an interview with Orlando Sentinel.
"I've altered my diet. I've started working out. There's that. But on the film itself: I toured the departments, I've looked at wardrobe, and I saw the creature shop. I went around and met all the cast people, saw the technicians working on some new things," he said.
However, he clammed up when asked about the plot. "This is a whole different world ... The first one, no one cared. The second one there was a lot of interest, but it was before the internet. ... I tell people we're not trying to annoy you or tease you or play some massive game. Basically what the goal is to keep the surprises for the movie instead of spoiling them on the internet," he added.
