"Dumb and Dumber To" trailer debuted Tuesday June 10 on "The Tonight Show.”

Jennifer Lawrence is apparently in the cast as well as returning stars Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels. "Dumb and Dumber To" trailer opens with Daniels' Harry Dunne making his daily visit to his best pal, Lloyd Christmas (Carey), who has seemingly been in a catatonic state at a mental institution for two decades.

Lloyd interrupts Harry saying, "Got ya!"
"You mean you have been faking for 20 years and it was all for a gag?" exclaims Harry. "That's awesome!"

Harry Dunne soon finds out he has a daughter he never knew about; Lloyd sees a photo of Harry’s now adult daughter and immediately falls in love with her the same way he did with Mary Samsonite in the first film.

"Dumb and Dumber To,” which is directed by the Farrelly brothers, has taken a long time to hit the big screen, despite the $127 million the original "Dumb and Dumber" earned at the U.S. box office. Part of this was because Carrey shied away from the revisiting one of his most famous roles for a long time. Warner Bros. dropped the sequel after two years of development.

Director Peter Farrelly told Inquistr.com last year, “It's going well. We have a great script and now we are just trying to get it made. I love the script. It's exactly like the first one. We pick up 20 years later. We explain what they've done for the last 17 or 18 years. We take off from that and it's just a lot of laughs. It's at Warner Bros., and right now it's being financed outside the studio, but it will be released by Warner Bros. And that's all being worked out right now. If you liked Dumb and Dumber, you'll like this because it's the same and more. It's really fun. It's being made through Warner Bros. but now we have several financiers that are negotiating with the studio and trying to make the best deal. Whichever one does will make the movie. It's going to be made through Warner Bros. and released by Warner Bros. but financed by an outside financer.”

The film also stars Jennifer Lawrence, Laurie Holden and Kathleen Turner.

Universal Pictures picked up "Dumb and Dumber To" and it will hit theaters on a Nov. 14 release!
