A Los Angeles judge has reversed a previous ruling that mandated Casey Kasem's eldest daughter, Kerri, to feed, hydrate and medicate the radio icon.

"It would be acutely harmful for Mr. Kasem to have nutrition and hydration restored at this time. This was t the advisement of doctors at St. Anthony's" Superior Court Judge Daniel Murphy declared.

In the midst of the family's on-going feud, the judge ruled doctors to discontinue feeding, hydrating and medicating Kasem, who is currently suffering from Lewd body dementia, according to CNN.

Kasem's attending physicians issued a statement and concluded that continuing the artificial nutrition would only prolong the icon's dying process.

"This will certainly add suffering to an already terribly uncomfortable dying process," Troy Martin, Kerri's lawyer confirmed.

The 82-year-old Kasem, who was initially under the care of his second wife, Jean, was brought to the hospital last week, after Kerri demanded that her father be brought to a facility.

After Wednesday's hearing, Kerri released a statement to E! News which read, "The court's decision today upheld our father's explicit wishes as expressed by him in his health directive."

In 2007, Kasem wrote a health directive that stated his disapproval for being kept alive, under all circumstances, if it would "result in a mere biological existence, devoid of cognitive function, and with no reasonable home for normal functioning."

Kerri's statement continued, "Transitioning our father's treatment to comfort-oriented care was one of the hardest decisions we've ever had to make. For the last 11 days, our father has been surrounded day and night by love and care by his daughters Kerri and Julie, his son Mike, his brother Mouner and sister-in-law Mary..."

Mr. Murphy also confirmed during Wednesday's hearing that pulling the plug on Kasem is not illegal, Hollywood Life reported.

Meanwhile, Jean Kasem stormed out of the court room following the judge's decision and quipped, "You have blood on your hands."
