It looks like we have a new cat hero, or should we say new Grinch, in the movie when the Internet sensation Grumpy Cat has moved from meme to movie. Grumpy Cat, or Tardar Sauce in real life, will star in her first-ever movie "Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever". Believe it or not, she will now invade the big screen and will no longer staring still but rather moving and talking in the movie. Perhaps, he will wish everyone an unpleasant Christmas holiday.
Tardar Sauce debuted on the Internet in September 2012 when the brother of her owner posted her photo on Reddit. Since then, the grouchy look of the famous feline has become the face of many memes in the World Wide Web.
Grumpy Cat may always look irritable or cranky, but her look brings joy and laughter to almost everybody who comes across her photos.
"This started off as a picture of a cat, but rare is an image that evokes that much comedy. You read all of the memes and the comments, and one is funnier than the next. We think we can build a big family comedy around this character," one of the producers of the Grumpy Cat movie said in an interview with Deadline.
SpongeBob SquarePants' Tim Hill along with Jeff Morris will take care of the script where the story develops between the cat from a pet store that is always overlooked and a12-year-old girl who has noticed her and can even communicate with her.
The four-legged Internet favorite has won recognitions, including Mashable's Meme of 2012, the Meme of the Year at the Webby Awards in 2013 and the Outstanding Literary Achievement award at the recently concluded Guys Choice Awards of Spike TV. Tardar Sauce has already enjoyed the attention of TV viewers when she appeared in "Anderson Cooper Live", "CBS Evening News", "Good Morning America", "Morning Buzz", "The Soup", and "Today".
