"Pretty Little Liars" season 5 just premiered last Tuesday. It could be one of the most highly anticipated episodes for fans since "A" was finally unmasked.
As reported, Shana has "supposedly been the Liars' hooded villain." In episode 1, Shana who is Alison's former childhood friend was sent to her death when she was knocked off a theater stage after a nerve-racking gun scene between Aria, Shana and the girls.
It was revealed that Shana who was also "A" was seeking revenge and justice for Jenna.
Despite having killed the one true tormentor in the series, the Liars are not yet free from their own struggles. As it will be seen in season 2, titled "Whirly Girlie," the girls will be facing a lot of compromising situations even after "A's" timely death.
According to a synopsis for "Whirly Girlie," all five ladies will be back in Rosewood - but still "living under a cloud of secrets."
Aria will be "haunted by the recent past events." Shana's death could be a culprit. Emily, Hanna and Spencer will be trying to figure out the "new normal" of having Alison back around and out in the open.
But even Alison has difficulties being normal. Alison has distrust issues with her family forcing her to sleep "with one eye open." And with the disappearance of Jessica, it appears the DiLaurentis family will never leave the spotlight. The synopsis teases that eyebrows will be raised over Jason's "odd" behavior and Kenneth's search for his estranged wife.
"Pretty Little Liars" Season 5 episode 2 will air on June 17 at 8 p.m. EDT at ABC family.
