There has been no final word yet on the official release date, but "Pitch Perfect 2" cast and trailer have been getting a lot of searches online this early.
There has been several reports that everyone from the Barden Bellas will be reprising their roles in the new movie. "Pitch Perfect" star Rebel Wilson just recently posted a photo of the cast on Instagram to delight their fans.
The photo featured a lot of the old cast, and some faces new. The photo also showed the film's writer, Kay Cannon, a former writer for "30 Rock" and half of the lesbian couple on "New Girl."
Apparently, the "Pitch Perfect" cast will also do a lot of twerking too on the movie. Brittany Snow shared on Twitter her experience.
"Injured my back today from twerking. Found myself using a glow stick to massage it. #sometimesIworry #PitchPerfect2Problems," she tweeted.
Although there has been no official word on the twerking on set, it can be assumed that the "Pitch Perfect 2" will reflect a lot from current industry and society trends.
Apart from the twerking, the movie's director who also appeared in the previous movie, Elizabeth Banks, might have shared a little of the new movie's plot in her interview with Huffington Post.
"All I can say right now is that they will be graduating seniors this time around, rather than incoming freshmen," she said.
"I was on as producer for the first film and have been with the movie since its inception, so this next time around I'm just taking on a lot more responsibility. I still want to bring as much laughter and humor and joyfulness and great music to the franchise that I can."
She further added: "I'm really excited to direct the girls. The whole project speaks so much to me and to women and to making women funny in really fun and interesting ways and that's what I'm most looking forward to. I'm looking forward to letting the girls let loose."
Fans of the movie are still waiting for the official trailer and release date of the new movie. But, they can always enjoy highlights of the first movie like the one in the video below.
