James Franco's Instagram scandal was commented on by his brother Dave Franco recently.
The '22 Jump Street' star told The Daily Beast, "I know better than to tell him what to do with regard to anything at this point. What a lot of people think is crazy is also what I admire about him: He does what he wants, and he's not afraid of how people are going to perceive him."
Dave Franco added, "Someone in his position who will put himself out on a limb like that, I think it's refreshing. So I'm not the one to tell him to stop posting naked pictures of himself on Instagram - not that I'm necessarily rushing to check these pictures out - but he can do what he wants."
He also admits that brother James is quite unique, saying, "I can imagine you guys touched on some pretty weird grounds with those interviews. He's already got enough weird stuff to say, but by the seventh or eighth time, I can't even imagine."
James Franco, who recently made his Broadway debut in the revival of John Steinbeck's Of Mice And Men with Chris O'Dowd and Leighton Meester, will return to the stage to direct the Off-Broadway production of The Long Shrift, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
One of the stars is Franco's ex-girlfriend Ahna O'Reilly who he split from in 2011.
The Long Shrift is written by Robert Boswell and is a drama about a man who spends nine years in prison after being convicted of rape, according to the Daily Mail. He then forges a relationship with his accuser after he is released. The play will be one of the productions in the 20th anniversary season of the Rattlestick Playwrights Theater and will run from July 13 to August 23.
The production will also star Scott Haze, Brian Lally, Allie Gallerani and Ally Sheedy.
