Rockstar and country music favorite icon, Tim McGraw was reportedly come to realizations of quitting partying and drinking habits.

In the new issue of Men's Health Magazine, McGraw admitted that he was not a good role being recently addicted to partying and drinking.

According to Men's Health cover story, McGraw realized that he should quit the bad habits for the sake not of his career or money but for the four important women in his life-his wife Faith Hill and their three daughters Gracie, 17, Maggie, 15, and Audrey, 12.

"When your wife tells you it's gone too far, that's a big wake-up call," McGraw tells in the cover story of Men's Health.

"That, and realizing you're gonna lose everything you have. Not monetarily, not career-wise, but family-wise." McGraw added.

He further tells Men's Health that "It got to the point where my kids were getting older, and it was way past the point that they noticed it. And I noticed that they noticed. That's enough to straighten you out...I drank too much. I partied too much. And did other things too much. Chemically. No needles or that kind of stuff, but..use your imagination."

McGraw even compared the direction of his life to the late country singer Keith Whitley who died in 1989 due to alcohol poisoning.

MCGraw on Men's Health: "Keith Whitley taught me how demons can overtake you if you let 'em. And I was headed down that path. You feel like you're supposed to be 'on' all the time. Then you drink and get onstage, and all of a sudden you feel confident and powerful."

McGraw was named as country music icon at this year's Peope Choice Awards. He will be on tour this summer for the promotions of his new album "Sundown Heaven Town"

Recently, McGraw and Hill was rumored of divorce but McGraw cleared the issue on June 6 episode of Oprah's Master Class saying that they are not splitting up.
