The "Pretty Little Liars" star Ashley Benson reportedly obtained a temporary restraining order against a 49-year-old Warner Bros. ex-security guard, Wednesday after he allegedly said that he was instructed by God to pursue a relationship with the actress romantically.
James P. Gorton, 49 reportedly told studio security personnel that he felt something special and has sexual feelings with the "Spring Breakers" actress after Benson happened to look at him one day. Gorton then believed that the actress and others were silenty exchanging messages with him.
E! News reports that the 49-year-old security guard was fired after telling people that God has ordered him to pursue his sexual feelings for the actress.
Benson reportedly felt fearful about her safety and her situation so she decided to file a protective order against Gorton even though the guard was dismissed in the studio. According to E! News, Benson remains concerned and afraid that Gorton might possibly approach her at home.
In a court document obtained by E! News, the restraining order that was filed yesterday in Los Angeles Superior court states that: "Benson was anxious, worried and fearful when she learned about" his "threatening intentions"
E! News reports that in the declaration included in the petition, Benson states that she was first alerted about Gorton actions on June 11 after her manager, Thor Bradwell showed her a picture of Gorton.
Benson further stated that: "I am also told that Mr. Gorton believes that God has spoken to him through my character on Pretty Little Liars,"
The restraining order demands Gorton, 49 to stay at least 100 yards away from the "Pretty Little Liar" actress. The restraining order also ordered Gorton to refrain from contacting the actress.
Benson is known for its role as Hanna Marin in the popular ABC Family mystery teen drama series "Pretty Little Liars" with a viewership of more than 2.5 million.
Pretty Liars is set to release its fifth season premiere next month.
