Time and time again, Samsung shows they are worthy of being called one the leaders in innovation as their Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has showed the world why it is one of the best tablet around. Now, a new competitor has surfaced and it is the Sony Xperia Z Ultra. With two giant smartphones going head to head, which one will be the winner?
Having a screen size of 6.4", the Z Ultra is definitely larger and wider than the 5.7" Note 3. The downside to being bigger is that the Pixel Per Inch suffers. The Z Ultra offers 342ppi, which is short of the 386ppi offered by the Note 3.
When it comes to processors, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is also faster than the Z Ultra. The clocking speed of 2.3GHz gives the latter an edge over the 2.2GHz on the Z Ultra. Both phablets run on the same Snapdragon 800 processor. Also, the Note 3 comes with 3GB RAM which is bigger than the 2GB on the Z Ultra.
If the cameras will be compared, the 13MP rear shooter on the Note 3 is by far more superior to the 8MP on the Sony Z Ultra. The former is packed with all the camera features whereas the latter has nothing to offer.
Both devices are on par in terms of storage space and there is little to differ in terms of battery efficiency.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 managed to pull off another victory as it comes with the latest Android 4.4.KitKat. The Sony Xperia Z Ultra is still stuck with the Jellybean which slows it down.
