According to Android Origin, Australian carrier Vodafone sent an official notification to its users and the Canadian carrier Rogers also confirmed that the update is coming for its subscribers as well. Droid Life reported that Verizon joins the bandwagon today.

Reportedly, Verizon has now approved Android 4.4.2 updates for both the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4 mini. Both updates bring that Kit Kat fire, Samsung KNOX 2.0 and Isis Wallet.

Gamer Headlines reported that update will continue to expand rapidly across the United States and most probably for the rest of the world. Vodafone Australia has just confirmed that the 4G version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 (model number GT-I9305T) will definitely be getting 4.4.2 KitKat.

According to Air Herald, the users can initiate the update manually by choosing the About Device option from the General option in Settings menu. Then they will have to choose the Software Update option on their handsets. Before starting the installation process of the Android 4.4 update, the users should ensure that their devices have at least 50 percent battery charge. The 4.4 KitKat update also includes enhancements like new sound controls, integrated location menus, easy access to camera on lock screen, and enhanced music access.

A full changelog is provided by the U.S. Cellular. This includes wireless printing capabilities, faster multitasking, a new Hangouts app, and updates to the interface. The changelog from Sprint also provides the users with the above mentioned enhancements. According to Samsung, only 14 Galaxy devices will receive the KitKat update.

Reportedly, Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy S3 (GT-I9300) model which has only 1GB RAM was dropped off from the Kitkat update list. This Galaxy S3 does not have the sufficient space for supporting the latest Android KitKat OS.
