Gravity star George Clooney is trying to keep his feet on the ground when it comes to their wedding plans. However, his aunt Staria has just gotten a little too excited to spill the beans as she revealed: ""I would say he'd choose Brad Pitt for his best man. They are good friends, I would think that's who he'd choose."
As devoted partners in crime in Ocean's Eleven (Twelve and Thirteen), these equally good looking celebrities have certainly lived up to their roles even when the cameras are off. They've motorcycled together, played pranks on each other, and even talked about marriage - wherein the long-divorced Clooney used to mention that marriage was not really his priority.
Now it seems that somebody has finally made Clooney change his long-term goals, and she is no other than the dazzling human rights lawyer in the UK Amal Alamuddin, 36. The actor and his bride-to-be are ready tie the knot in September, which also marks their first anniversary.
When asked about the venue of the wedding, George's Aunt Starla replied:
"I did hear Cincinnati, since it's not that far from Kentucky - that's one of the places they were considering - but apparently Cincinnati didn't win, it's not going to be the place," she revealed. Staria then hinted that Italy may be in the running. "I do know that Nick and Nina [George's parents] are planning a trip over to Italy in the next week or so to, I guess, scope out some stuff."
Aside from these details regarding their wedding, Softpedia posted an article about the political aspirations of George which was further clarified by this pronouncement made by his Aunt Starla: "George will run for office now, especially after his marriage to Amal, as that will open so many doors for him. At least around here (Ohio)."
Will George finally say goodbye to Hollywood? While details remain vague about his career plans, one thing that remains firm and definite right now is that wedding bells are just around the corner, and Brad Pitt might just be the perfect Best Man for George!
