Ecuador triumphs over Honduras 2 - 1 at Arena de Baixada in Curitiba Friday, thanks to Enner Valencia's two goals.

In Brandon Hicks' report at CBC Sports, Valencia comments about his play in the match: "Of course I'm very, very happy to have scored the goals because they helped us to win the match. We put everything on the line and we got three crucial points to keep our dream alive."

Luis Suarez of Honduras also shares his sentiments in BBC Sports: "It was a very hard-fought match. I think we had a bit of difficulty keeping our nerves in check given what was at stake in the game, but I'm satisfied with my team.

He further adds, "We know it'll be tough to reach the next round, but it'd be even worse to have been knocked out already.

Currently, Ecuador and Switzerland are on a tie at Group E as both teams are sitting at 3 points.

Ecuador will soon meet up against France, a formidable opponent under the group as the team thrashed both Switzerland (5 - 2) and Honduras (3 - 0) resulting to a huge goal difference.
