Miroslav Klose saves Germany from defeat as he equalizes the match, leaving Ghana on a 2 - 2 tie Saturday at Estadio Castelao in Fortaleza.

Germany dominated in possession during the first half of the match, but Ghana prevented German most of the offensives.

Germany finally took the lead on the second half during the 51st - minute mark when Mario Gotze attacks with a left-footed shot through Thomas Muller's cross.

Nevertheless, Ghana immediately equalizes as Andre Ayew answers with a header through Harrison Afful's cross on the 54th - minute mark.

Ghana manages to score another point as Asamoah Gyan strikes with a right-footed shot with Sulley Ali Muntari's through ball, taking the team to a lead 2 - 1 on the 63rd - minute mark of the match.

Still, Germany was not ready to give up just yet. Benedikt Howedes delivers the ball to Miroslav Klose and ties the game as he delivers a right-footed shot on the 70th - minute mark.

Klose is now tied with Brazil's Ronaldo as he scored his 15th goal in the World Cup.

"I don't know how long its been since I did a somersault. but at least it worked out. You come in and want to turn the game around. Twenty [World Cup] matches and 15 goals isn't bad at all," Klose tells CBS Sports.

Germany consistently put Ghana on pressure on the ending minutes of the match as they constantly attempted to take more goals. However, Ghana answered with fast responses and quick counterattacks, rendering the match a tie between the two teams 2 - 2.

Germany is currently on the top of Group G with 4 points, followed by USA with 3 points while Ghana has 1 point and Portugal with 0 points. All teams under Group G remain alive as the deciding matches will be held next week.

Ghana will be pitted against Portugal at Estadio Nacional in Brasilia, while Germany faces USA at Arena Pernambuco in Recife. Both matches will be held on June 26, Thursday.
