Women's soccer star Hope Solo, wife of former NFL star, Jerramy Stevens, has just been arrested for domestic violence. Seattle Reign FC, Solo's soccer team, has just released their statement on the matter and it said, "We are aware of the situation regarding Hope Solo and are currently gathering information. We have no further comments at this time."

US Soccer also released a similar statement, "We are aware of the situation. At this point, we don't have any further comments."

Kirkland Police have provided the press with a copy of what happened the night of the arrest. It was on the 21st of June, shortly before 1:00 am that patrol units got a 911 call about a disturbance about a girl who reportedly kept 'hitting people' and that she could not be stopped and that they could not get her to leave the house. The officers were quick to respond, and they heard the sounds of the disturbance from outside of the house.

When the police entered the premises they spotted Solo right away and she reportedly appeared very upset and intoxicated. They also saw other people inside the house, a couple of them had highly noticeable injuries, particularly Solo's sister and Solo's 17-year-old nephew. It was obtained from the reports of everyone present inside the house during the incident that Solo was the primary aggressor and that she was the one who instigated the assault.

32-year-old Solo, Seattle Reign FC goalkeeper, was then arrested on two counts of domestic violence assault 4th degree and was booked into the South King County detention facility. She has already been scheduled for a mandatory court appearance on the 23rd of June Monday at the Kirkland Municipal Court.

According to the accounts the police has gathered, Solo created an argument with her relatives during a family gathering. Lt. Mike Murray said, "There was a big party going on at her house. It was an out-of-control situation." At some point during the gathering, Solo allegedly physically attacked her sister, as well as her nephew. Murray added, "There were visible injuries on them."
