While both the teams are entering the game with six points each and convincing wins over ex-champions Spain, the Netherlands will be more comfortable for this match. Since they scored more goals, all they need is a draw to claim the top spot. The loser for this game will have to face World Cup hosts, Brazil for their first Knockout Stage game.
But Robin van Persie, one of the star players of the Oranje, will miss out on this game due to his suspension. The Netherlands' line up is expected to start with Eindhoven's Memphis Depay, together with Louis Van Gaal. Also, Feyenord defender Bruno Martins Indi will also be absent for this game because of a terrible injury he had last week.
On the other hand, the South Americans also had their fair share of bad luck. The last week's scorer, Charles Aranguiz, is currently suffering from a knee injury that will keep him out of this match. Chile's team coach, Jorge Sampaoli is now heavily relying on Barcelona's Alexis Sanchez.
The game is expected to be light but still competitive. With much of the star players missing in action for today's match, they seem to have focused more on their Round of 16 matches rather than this ranking one.
Anyway, the Brazil do not look as deadly, but neither of the teams want to try their luck with them.
