Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres is one of the winners at Sunday's Daytime Emmy Awards. She received her eighth award for "The Ellen DeGeneres" show under the Entertainment Talk Show category.

For the first time in years, the awards show wasn't aired on television but fans were still able to watch it via online streaming, according to Techsonia.

This, according to BBC, "reflects dwindling audiences for daytime television." In 2012 and 2013, Daytime Emmy Awards aired on cable channel HLN.

Other winners include "The Steve Harry Show" for the Outstanding Informative Talk Show category. Steve Harry likewise won as the best game show host for "Family Feud."

'The Young and the Restless" on CBS went home with six major recognitions including Best Drama Series, Best Lead Actor for Billy Miller and more.

NBC's "Days of Our Lives" actress Eileen Davidson went home with the Best Actress in a Drama Series title.

"Good Morning America" of ABC bagged home the Best Morning Program.

One of the most coveted twists on tonight's show took place after the entire team revealed new categories for Spanish-language shows, the Huffington Post has said.

"Un Nuevo Dia" received the Best Morning Program award, while "Clix" was recognized under the Best Entertainment Show category.

Rodner Figueroa of "El Gordo y la Flaca" was awarded the Daytime Talent in Spanish recognition.

Several other networks including PBS, CBS, HUB Network, TOLN.com, NBC and ABC received highly acclaimed recognition for their choice of programming and more.

"Jeopardy!" won Best Game Show and "The Mind of a Chef" won Best Culinary Program. Katie Couric won Best Talk Show Host for "Kate."

Couric's win came just one day after she wed long-time boyfriend John Molner. The two wed in East Hampton in New York, City after getting engaged in September of last year.

In an interview with People Magazine, the 57-year-old Couric said, "We wanted to keep the wedding just very low-key."
