Miroslav Klose brought Germany's scoring card to success in a sensational World Cup match.
Germany won 2-2 against Ghana on Saturday. To avoid a second game letdown, the team would need Klose's second-half equalizer.
Klose holds 15 legendary goals in his career in the World Cup, the same record breaking numbers held by Brazil's Ronaldo
"It wasn't perfect, but I can't remember the last time I did it," Klose told reporter,"Still, 15 goals in 20 matches, that's not bad."
Germany won the World Cup opening game in 2010, 0-4, but failed to make it in the second round. In 2010 also, Germany lost to Serbia. Germany almost lost again on Saturday. This is an advantage for the United States, as the team would advance from the group upon triumphing against Portugal on Sunday.
"Ghana really threw everything they had at us. It was a very animated match. Both teams had many chances, and many counterattacks," Germany Coach Joachim Loew was quoted as saying, "That's not how the match was planned, but that's how it turned out."
Klose equalized the score in 71st minute, one minute before coming on as a substitute, when Toni Kroos kicked the ball to the end post towards Benedikt Hoewedes, who in turn, kicked the ball onto the net.
Ronaldo welcomingly tweeted: "Welcome to the club #klose. I can imagine your happiness!!!! What a great Cup!!!? (sic)" The tweet served as a sensational warm message that Ronaldo could have ever given Klose, encouraging the latter to constantly put his best foot forward in any game.
