Nokia X2 Android-Based smartphone was recently launched by Nokia (now Microsoft owned). According to Forbes, the X2 comes with a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, a 5MP camera with flash, 4.3-inch display, dual-sim, and 15GB of inbuilt storage space for as low as $135. Nokia X2 is running in an Android OS but it has been heavily modified to look more like a Windows Phone interface.

A home key is included in X2 which can't be found in any of the previous models According to TechTimes, the base Android system is still there along with its huge library of apps, but Microsoft has removed the pre-installed Google services Android phones typically come with and replaced them with Microsoft programs such as Outlook, Skype and OneDrive.

According to Forbes, as expected, Microsoft apps will come pre-loaded on to the phone including "some Xbox games". There's likely to be a lot more, but Nokia hasn't specified what other apps come with the phone.

The new phone features a 4.3 inch display with a resolution of 800 x 640. Microsoft claims that the battery lasts for up to 13 hours of talk time.

The X2 is the successor to the Nokia X, which was released in February before Microsoft's acquisition of the Nokia's hardware division. The Nokia X2 also features a removable rear casing available in a number of colors. Reportedly, Nokia will stick with the fluorescent design of its predecessor, coming in green, orange, black, yellow and grey.

"The Nokia X2 elevates the Nokia X experience with a stellar new design, ease of use and new Microsoft experiences. We're proud to continue to bring smartphone innovation to lower and lower price points," says Timo Toikkanen, the head of Microsoft's mobile department, in a statement.

Forbes reported that Nokia says that X2 is available "immediately in select countries globally", although the exact countries are not yet specified.
