Tracy Morgan accident update features the "30 Rock" actor's release from the hospital following an incident that left him with a broken nose, ribs and femur.

According publicist Lewis Kay, the actor/comedian will be transferred to an undisclosed rehabilitation center where he will stay for a few weeks.

"While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go," Kay said in a report by ABC News. "He and [his fiancée] Megan wanted to publicly express their deepest gratitude to everyone at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for the unbelievable care and attention they provided him."

The Tracy Morgan accident happened early this month at the New Jersey turnpike after a truck driven by Kevin Roper slammed into the actor's limo truck, leaving six others injured and one person dead.

Meanwhile, a preliminary report was released by the National Transportation Safety Board, revealing that Roper had been awake for 24 straight hours and was running at a speed of 65 mph when the Tracy Morgan accident happened.

However, Roper entered a plea of not got guilty and was released after posting a $50,000 bail. The defendant's attorney, David Jay Glassman explained his client's motive behind entering the said plea.

"Mr. Roper has entered a plea of not guilty. It was not an artificial exercise, but rather the first step in defending the charges that have been filed against him," Glassman said in a separate statement. "The initial investigation results released yesterday by the NTSB have only served to bolster our intention to aggressively defend the matter to the fullest."

While Roper continues remain silent about the Tracy Morgan accident, his camp believes that he will be acquitted in court. Speaking through his lawyer, he also sent out his sympathies to the bereaved families.

"We remain mindful of the victims and continue to express our deepest sympathies to the family of James McNair and our heartfelt wishes for a full recovery of those who suffered injuries in the accident," Glassman said.
