Fantastic 4 2015 news reveals the film is a confirmed project and a reboot; a Fox executive talks about development, and about a new director with a different approach.

20th Century Fox has confirmed a couple of superhero titles in the next few years, riding on the wake of the success of "X-men: Days of Future Past" and "The Wolverine." Aside from an "Apocalypse" movie teased at the end of the latest X-men film, talks of a Fantastic Four reboot are also the buzz, with a different director slated to helm production.

Fox's President of Production Emma Watts talks about the company's confidence with Josh Trank to direct:

"We're making a big bet for 2015 with The Fantastic Four and director Josh Trank. To me, the key is the originality of the filmmakers and the choices they make. Josh is another really interesting example, who is using the vision he gave us in Chronicle to reinvent a franchise he's loved his whole life. It's not that you can't make original ideas -- you can, and we did it with Chronicle. The director is the key to not letting superhero movies go stale. That's the truth."

Trank's work in "Chronicle" falls along the genre of the "found footage" films. The Fantastic 4 2015 news involves an ensemble cast of young actors, and Watts confirms the film's approach will reflect as much.

"It's Josh, so it can't not have that feel. That's his talent, that's what he does, and that's what excites him about it. It is a really interesting young cast, and he is the magnet that's brought them all together."

The lineup of actors are confirmed for the Fantastic Four reboot: Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Jordan, and Jamie Bell. Recent Fantastic 4 2015 news confirms the installment is slated for a June 19 release date (comingsoon.net).
