These scenes deflect from the last year's demonstration in protest against Brazil's hosting of the World Cup this year. Last year, protesters clashed with police in the streets of Brazil in opposition to the Fifa tournament to be held in Brazil.

Many wonder as to how the demonstrations against the Fifa tournament stopped, without any hints of letting up before.

The protests that previously threatened Brazil can now be seen covered with smiling fans, happy players, soccer trends all around, and of course, beers, in toast for a celebration.

"We are not in favor of the Cup. We are Brazilians, and football is the culture of our country," Carla Vilardo, 41, a fan of the World Cup said. "Now is not the time to protest. The Cup is happening. Protest in October, in the elections."

Protests around Brazil against the Fifa tournament minimized significantly. These scenes were very different from last year's harsh protest demonstrations. Protesters and police clash in violent riots, which have previously scared many spectators away. Riot protests went down by 39 % in the initial 12 days of the tournament, in comparison to 12 days prior to these days, as reported by the Folha de S. Paulo newspaper. This good news gave fans and players opportunities to concentrate on the tournament, instead of worrying about their safety.
