Good news gaming fans! The Grand Theft Auto 6 release date has been revealed.
According to reports from The Fuse Joplin, Rockstar Games announced that GTA 6 is set to be release on June 2017 during the E3 2014 event. GTA 6 Will be available for the next generation consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One and for the PC as well. The website also hinted that the title will be called "Return to the Vice City".
President of Rockstar North Leslie Benzies stated that GTA 6 will surprise fans with their wild ideas.
"We've got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do," Benzies told Develop in an interview. "We don't know what 'GTA VI' will be, but we've got some ideas."
He added,
"GTA Online is the focus right now. There ain't no rest between finishing 'V' and then Online. Plus we have some other things -- stuff, DLC, I don't know how to describe it exactly -- that we'd like to do, and we'll pick the right ones."
Meanwhile, there are some rumors circulating that GTA 6 will not just have one location in mind, but four locations will be added, making it a total of five locations within the game. GTA developers cited Paris, London, Brazil, and Las Vegas (possibly named Las Venturas) as potential location inspirations.
Video game website, Gamerant conducted an interview with Rockstar co-founder Dan Houser on his thoughts on the GTA franchise.
"At the moment it feels like [Grand Theft Auto's] D.N.A. is contemporary-ish, America-ish, English-speaking-ish, because that's what it has been... But that doesn't necessarily limit it to those, that's just what we've done so far."
