Park Yoo Chun's fans are setting a good example.
The INGO (International Non-Governmental Organization) World Vision announced in the 30th, "Singer-actor Park Yoo Chun and his Japanese fans donated 2,222 'lunch boxes of love' to celebrate his birthday."
His Japanese fan club '6002ism' conducted a charity auction in lieu of the artist's birthday celebration, and when Park Yoo Chun found out about the event, he donated some of his personal belongings to help out.
The fan club was able to collect 6 million won, and proceeds were used for the 'lunch boxes of love' to help out low-income families in poverty-stricken areas.
Wold Vision CEA Yang Ho Seung expressed his gratitude, and said, "We're thankful that Park Yoo Chun, an artist who has consistently donated to World Vision, inspired his fans to share and care for those in need. We will do our best to convey the goodwill of the fans through the lunch boxes that they are donating."
He added, "This will be of great help to the children who are barely eating one meal per day, especially this academic season."
Park Yoo Chun has previously participated in a World Vision project through his company C-JeS Entertainment, in which the management donated books and school supplies to children devastated by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.
Meanwhile, Park is filming his movie "Sea Fog," and preparing for the upcoming album of his band JYJ.
