Robin Thicke recently opened an #AskThicke hashtag on Twitter to encourage his fans and supporters to send him questions. However, his attempt at utilizing social media backfired.
On Tuesday, Thicke was faced with criticisms and offensive statements from Twitter users instead of questions he and his team wanted to answer, according to CNN.
Other than this, Thicke's relationship and attempts at winning back Paula Patton were also criticized by fans.
One person wrote, "Do you think Tim Howard can save your marriage?" Another Twitter user wrote, "Y'all knew that #AskThicke was going 2 be a disaster. Twitter has no chill and once again PR people are getting celebrities clowned."
Another Twitter user tweeted, "On a scale of 1 - Robin Thicke, how creepy is your next single going to be?" One person wrote, "Any general tips for women trying to avoid men like you?"
Thicke's #AskThicke in partnership with VH1 continued and the singer tried to avoid negative comments. At one point he simply explained, "I'm a big boy, I can handle it," WDAM reported.
Thicke has been very vocal about his desire to win back Paula Patton. Just last week, the "Blurred Lines" singer released his latest single "Get Her Back," which is obviously dedicated to his estranged wife.
If that was not obvious enough, Thicke's newest album is entitled "Paula," another obvious indication that the songs in the album are all meant for Patton.
And in yet another awkward situation, Thicke performed at the BET Awards on Sunday where he once again apologized to Patton publicly, according to People Magazine.
On Sunday night's award show, Thicke performed his new single "Forever Love" but prior to that, said, "I'd like to dedicate this song to my wife and say I miss you and I'm sorry."
Meanwhile, Patton, who allegedly broke up with Thicke due to his infidelity, previously clarified that she will never get back together with the singer, TMZ confirmed.
