Adam Richman's "Man Finds Food" has officially been cancelled following his controversial #Thinspiration comments on Instagram.

Travel Channel was set to premiere the reality show on Wednesday night but decided to cancel it indefinitely after Richman's #Thinspiration hashtag on Instagram surfaced, according to the LA Times.

Amelie Tseng, Travel Channel's spokesperson said, "It's been postponed, but we have no further comment on that." Tseng confirmed that there's no confirmation yet when the show will premiere and whether or not it will still continue to air in the next couple of months.

Last month, Richman, who lost a reasonable amount of weight through dieting, shared a photo of his transformed self via Instagram and wrote, "Had ordered this suit from a Saville Row tailor over a year ago. Think I'm gonna need to take it in a little... #Victory #EyesOnThePrize #AnythingIsPossible #fitness #transformation #thinspiration."

Richman's post ignited controversy, specifically from XOJane.com writer Amber Sarah. The writer explained in one of her articles that the word thinspiration is a term used by people who are pro-anorexia and pro-bulimia.

One of Sarah's friends commented on Richman's Instagram post and got into an argument with the reality TV host, the Washington Post noted.

In one of Richman's comments, he said, "Grab a razor blade and draw a bath. I doubt anyone will miss you." On Tuesday, he issued an apology on "Good Morning America" and explained, "I've long struggled with my body image and have worked very hard to achieve a healthy weight. I'm incredibly sorry to everyone I've hurt."

He continued, as reported by CNN, "Instead of responding to hurtful comments with compassion, I lashed out in anger. I'm not asking for sympathy, but rather understanding and forgiveness. I can say with certainty that I'm taking a deep at myself and I'm incredibly sorry to everyone I've hurt."

As of late, the Travel Channel has not yet issued a statement regarding the controversy.
