Henry Cavill is Clark Kent, in a sneak peek of the actor's alter ego on the "Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice" set.

A Twitter post dated June 30 has the Man of Steel posing as his subdued alter ego Clark Kent, in the first glimpse of Superman in plainclothes. Cavill's Twitter pic was also posted for a worthwhile cause.

Cavill as Clark Kent wore an understated ensemble of a brown trench coat over a dark undershirt, gray tie and trousers, black leather shoes. In the photo, Cavill stood beside a movie set chair reserved for "Clark," holding a t-shirt supporting a cause.

This is the first official photo of Cavill in the role of Clark Kent, at least in connection to the "Man of Steel" sequel. The Twitter Pic capitalized on the exposure for a cause, with Cavill giving away signed shirts in support of the 1664 Challenge, an exhaustive expedition that runs until July.

The fund-raising expedition is broken down into five phases, with teams from England's Royal Marines participating in 1664 kilometers of skiing, coastal sailing, and cross-continental cycling.

The stretch extends for up to 6656 kilometers, which involves legs of kayak paddling, and a month-long UK and London marathon. Cavill's support for the expedition is extended in a promotional video, released May 26 (yahoo.com).

Henry Cavill is Clark Kent's alter ego Superman in the "Man of Steel" sequel, pitting him at odds with The Dark Knight, played by Ben Affleck. The movie is expected to jumpstart the beginning of the Justice League and a series of standalone movies, with superheroes Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and The Flash considered.

The signed shirts are available at Cavill's fan sites, particularly HenryCavillNews and HenryCavill.org. Cavill is an official ambassador for the Royal Marines Charitable Trust Fund, an organization dedicated to helping wounded and injured members of the Royal Marines recover and transition into normal, civilian life.

The photo of Henry Cavill as Clark Kent was posted on the organization's official Twitter account (variety.com).
