Australian singer/rapper Iggy Azalea, who will grace the cover of Cosmopolitan Australia's August issue, has finally responded to Nicki Minaj's controversial statements at the recently concluded BET Awards.

On Sunday, Minaj, who was recognized as the Best Female Hip-Hop Artist for the fifth year in a row, said, "When you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it."

Fans of both Minaj and Azalea immediately speculated that the "Pills 'N Potions" singer's statements were directed at the latter, according to NJ.

On Wednesday, Minaj clarified her statements and said, "The media puts words in my mouth all the time and this is no different. I will always take a stance on women writing b/c I believe in us! I believe we're smart enough to write down our own thoughts and perspective, just like men do. I've been saying this for 5 YEARS."

Azalea took her thoughts to Instagram following Minaj's explanation and wrote, "This is my mind state about everything & the only time I'm ever going to refer to this again so go nuts guys. Enjoy it. I have to say general explosion of pettiness online in the last few days is hard to ignore & honestly... lame."

"If I had won the BET Award that would've been great but it wasn't my year and I don't mind - so you shouldn't either. Generally speaking, I'm unbothered by anything that "happened" at the BET awards and just feel worn out by everyone trying to make me have wars with people all the time. Anyone who wishes me well is welcome in my life and those of you who don't can't get any more of my time."

She continued, "Ps. If you squint exxxtra hard you can see tiny elves having illuminati meetings between the lines in my notes app too."

Meanwhile, the 24-year-old graced the cover of Cosmopolitan Australia where she talked about her songs, Ariana Grande and more, Star Pulse noted.
