As the FIFA World Cup 2014 mania grows, rumors have been circulating that Canon's newest offering in their EOS series Canon 7D Mark II release date will be held during the hot world cup season. After all, CanonWatch recently reported that prior to the Canon 7D Mark II release date, prototypes of the newest pro camera will be tested at 2014 FIFA World Cup and that the official Canon 7D Mark II release date will be in September at Photokina 2014 in Cologne, Germany!

Canon 7D Mark II is built like a Baby EOS-1D X as it has an integrated grip design. Known to be a "pro" APS-C DSLR camera for professional photographers, it is said that specs for Canon 7D Mark II will include a GPS system, Pop-up flash and built-in Wi-Fi (hello, Facebook!). Not only that, Canon 7D Mark II boasts with rich technical specs such as a 20 megapixel sensor, ISO exposure of 100-12,800 (and even extends up to 25,600!), 1/8000 shutter along with a Quiet shutter mode, Phase detect Auto Focus (19 area), continual shooting up to 8 frames per second, buffer sizes of 15 for RAW files and 126 for JPEG files, and 3.0" 1040k dot LCD touch screen. The best part? Canon 7D Mark II only weights less than 1 kilo - 910 grams to be exact - and weather-sealed just like the original 7D model!

However, despite the much-mentioned features of Canon 7D Mark II, it is the viewfinder that has been much anticipated by camera critics and photographers alike. The 7D Mark II viewfinder is said to have 100% coverage and a 1.15x magnification compared to its predecessor Canon EOD 7D. This only means that more high quality photos will come to this much-anticipated camera - but will the photos stay true to Canon's image quality?
