From Terminus with love: "The Walking Dead" season 5 trailer confirms audience expectations this fall. More zombies, blood, and gore, with a compelling storyline and characters to boot.

The cast and crew of AMC's hit series "The Walking Dead" offered a sneak peak of season 5, with behind-the-scenes clips of filming and production. This is the first official reveal for the series after the season ended a few months ago.

The video does confirm the return of characters from season 4, including staples Rick, Daryl, Glenn, Maggie, and Michonne. The entire (surviving) crew posed for a group picture in front of the same van they were trapped inside in Terminus, candid and all smiles.

Andrew Lincoln's comment on the premiere set the expectation for the rest of season 5's run. "It's the most ambitious first episode I think we've ever attempted. It moves like no other premiere we've ever shot, and if this is anything to go by for the season, I think it's going to be the best season yet."

"The Walking Dead" season 5 trailer is fast-paced, with the crew always on the run and escaping predators both living and undead. Picking up from where season 4 left off, the characters are battered and weary from the separation, but relieved to have found each other at the end of the line: Terminus.

Lauren Cohan comments some footage may not make it to TV due to disturbing content. "This episode is so disturbing. Some of the stuff they shot yesterday, I don't know if it'll make it to TV."

Season 5 starts this October on AMC, scheduled for an impressive 16 episodes. Extended runs in previous seasons came with breathing pause of a few weeks, and it's likely this season is also set to be split into two parts.

"The Walking Dead" season 5 trailer confirms Seth Gilliam joining the cast; Michael Cudlitz, Josh McDermitt, Christian Serratos, Alanna Masterson and Andrew J. West return from season 4 (eonline.com).
