Emma Watson Movie: From Brainy Witch To Spunky Queen In Training? 'Perks Of Being A Wallflower' Actress To Star In Another Book Adaptation

Emma Watson is starring in another book adaptation after "Perks Of Being A Wallflower." The new movie sets to redefine the usual royal heroine.

According to the Daily Mail, Watson's new movie will be based off Erika Johansen's novel, "The Queen Of The Tearling." The "Harry Potter" star will be playing Kelsea Glynn, a girl raised by foster parents in a remote forest. She will eventually be called out to rule a small utopian kingdom that is in danger from the neighboring monarchs.

In the book, Kelsea is pictured as a plain looking girl with a face that's as "round and ruddy as a tomato." She is also shown as an active young woman that will eventually be covered in cuts and bruises as the story progresses. Kelsea is a character that would seemingly conflict with Watson's well-known attractiveness.

Despite this contradiction in the Kelsea and Watson's physicality, Daily Mail reports that the producers-as well as the actress in question-have no intentions of turning the "normal" Kelsea into a perfect-looking royal beauty.

The "Bling Ring" actress, however, does have to undergo training before the film. She will have to learn horseback riding, bulk her body up, and learn to use a knife and sword. She will also have to learn how to snare rabbits, hunt, and climb trees.

The Daily Mail believes "The Queen Of The Tearling" is a mix of "Game Of Thrones" and "Hunger Games," with a touch of "Pulp Fiction."

Mark L. Smith will be working on the screenplay and will pitch the script to "Harry Potter" franchise executive producer David Heyman. Heyman had reportedly snatched the rights of JK Rowling's franchise even before publication and have done the same to "The Queen Of The Tearling" trilogy.

Although the director is yet to be determined, reports suggest that Watson's movie would be filming as soon as next year. However, it will need time to assemble an A-list cast for the film.
