Henry Cavill girlfriend Gina Carano has been into negotiations about going back to UFC. According SB Nation, Ariel Helwani reported that the discussion to sign the 'In the Blood' Star to a UFC fight was seemingly "stalled". It was stated that negotiations aren't completely dead yet, but it looks like the deal will not be closed any time soon.
Yahoo Sports reported that even Carano has been out from MMA for the past five years, a bout with her is allegedly interesting that it would most likely make the "biggest-money fight the UFC can put on any time soon." Ronda Rousey, asserts that a match with Carano is "something that she has wanted since the first time she laid eyes on the sport."
"The first women's MMA fight I ever saw was Gina Carano vs. Julie Kedzie," Rousey said of the well-known 2007 bout. "Not only did I admire what [Carano] was doing, but also I was blown away by the reaction all the guys were giving them, and, I just remember sitting there and thinking, 'I could totally beat both of these chicks.' Whether she ever wants to fight again or not is entirely up to her. But, ever since that day when I had that first taste of women's MMA, she's the fight I wanted."
UFC President Dana White is also vocal about negotiations with Carano have hit a bit of a roadblock. According to Wrestling Inc, earlier this year, the UFC appeared confident to sign Carano after sitting down with the movie star but now that might not be the case.
"I like Gina Carano a lot and she's a great person," White said. "I just have a hard time dealing with some of these Hollywood attorneys. We'll see how that goes."
Reportedly, Carano is back to working out, but not eying a UFC bout at the moment.
