Slipknot fans, get ready! New album is 98 percent done.
Slipknot lead vox Corey Taylor has been somewhat tumultuous lately with various key band members departing from Slipknot and Stone Sour according to Loudwire. However, he has some good news to share with fans worldwide.
In a recent interview, Taylor announced an update on Slipknot's next album. He said that their fans should expect that they "will lose their minds" after hearing it.
The future of Slipknot became questionable and many specualtions are spreading that they are no longer working as band due to the revelation that longtime drummer Joey Jordison was no longer a member. Aside from that, Paul Dedrick Gray, also known as The Pig, their bassist, died in 2010.
But these events didn't turn down Slipknot.
Now, new hope is coming as Corey confirmed their upcoming album is nearly done.
Corey stated during the interview:
"I will say that, at the moment, right now, it feels like a great mesh of 'Iowa' and 'Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)'."
He also told Pop Culture Madness "You've got the gorgeous melodies and the artistic direction of 'Vol. 3' and then you've got the absolute brutality of 'Iowa.' And I think people are gonna lose their minds when they hear it."
He also told Front Row Live Entertainment about the progress of their album with the statement:
"It's a matter of time, trust me. It's gonna be rad ... Everything is going exactly how it needs to go. So it's gonna be really awesome."
Some source said that there are more bands that have been added to Knotfest Japan in November. It's confirmed that Lamb of God, In Flames + Five Finger Death Punch and Trivium will play during the two-day event that already features Slipknot, Limp Bizkit and Korn.
