Kanye West showed his devotion to new wife Kim Kardashian in the midst of a 20-minute rant against discrimination in the fashion industry during his performance at London's Wireless Festival last Friday.
The 27-year-old announced that he had already popped the question to Kim seven years ago before they even began dating in 2012, according to the Daily Mail.
Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are parents to one-year-old girl North and was married in Florence, Italy last May.
"I told Kim seven years ago I would marry her and I made it happen," Nori's father told the London crowd behind a bejeweled mask. "I just wanted to make something awesome and be awesome and change the world, and that's exactly what I plan to do."
He had previously told Ryan Seacrest on his radio show last year that he had wanted the Kardashian star to be his girl for a long time.
This declaration, however, did not go too well with the Wireless Festival crowd. Instead of being cheered, he was booed by concert-goers after halting his performance to jump right into an epic rant. The rap star dropped the little romantic detail after the 20-minute rant about the fashion world's unjust preferences.
Despite saying that he wouldn't be dropping names, the "99 Problems" hitmaker still mentioned brands like Nike, Louis Vuitton, and Gucci.
"Don't discriminate against me 'cos I'm a black man making music," the rap mogul reprimanded the said brands
Audience members reportedly left the grounds "in droves" after getting annoyed. A concert goer told the Daily Mail that Kanye was "laying into the 'machine' and ranting about the public's perception of him."
There was much reaction on Twitter as well.
One Twitter user and concert-goer posted, "There is a time and a place to get on your soap box @kanyewest and #wireless is not the place."
Pharrell Williams and Foxes also performed at the concert with Kanye West as the main act.
