Brazil won over Los Cafeteros, the Colombian team in the quarterfinal match on 04 July 2014 in Fortaleza. However, the Brazilian forward Neymar was kneed by Zuniga and now suffering from a fractured vertebra. Although the 22-year-old athlete will need not to undergo a surgery, as the doctor says, he will not be able to play for the rest of the tournament.

In Zuniga's defense, he stated that it was an accident and he did not intend to hurt Neymar. His explanation, nonetheless, made the Brazilian supporters feel better about the situation. Many of the supporters expressed their anger through social media-particularly in Twitter-where some even made threats after the incident.

This occurrence has led the Brazil team to play for Neymar for the next matches as other teams are starting to pose as threats to their way to triumph. "No Neymar, no party," they said. The question for Luiz Felipe Scolari, the Brazil coach, is who will play as forward for him?

With one of the aces of Brazil down, the team will have to play their remaining cards very well. One option is to beef up their midfield control by welcoming Luis Gustavo back together with Fernandinho and Paulinho especially now that the greatest threat for the team is Germany.

"Neymar, I hope you recover very soon friend!" Messi who played in Barcelona with Neymar posted on his official Facebook page. The athlete's absence would most likely be another obstruction to the team's road to success in this year's World Cup.
