Argentina lead player, Angel Di Maria will have to scan his thigh after his team won over Belgium in the quarter final. Some experts believed that his World Cup career could end after sustaining such injury.
Di Maria left the field 33 minutes that the game was underway, but still producing a 1-0 win at the field. Many media experts believed he would be unable to play in a match against Brazil despite the injury not being severe.
Enzo Perez took the place of Di Maria in a match on Saturday.
Perez will play in the semi-final in a match against Netherlands if Di Maria fails to return.
According to Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella, Di Maria would get treatment on Sunday.
"Angel has a problem in front of his right thigh and he is going to do an analysis tomorrow," the coach was quoted by reporters.
Brazil forward Neymar has been eliminated out of the tournament, following a fractured vertebrae in a match against Colombia in the quarter final.
Neymar had a third vertebra fracture on his back.
"The exam showed he suffered a fracture of the third vertebra" in his back, Lasmar told reporters. A clash with Colombia defender Juan Camilo Zuniga at the end of the quarter final game injured Neymar.
"It's not serious in the sense that it doesn't need surgery, but he'll need to immobilise it to recover," team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar to reporters while Neymar was being treated in the hospital for injuries sustained.
