Miami Heat star Chris Bosh made his desire known, saying he would like to get a multiyear max contract.
Many teams are more than willing to comply to Bosh's demand. One of those teams is the Houston Rockets. The team has already indicated that if they fail in pursuing Carmelo Anthony, they will focus their full attention to Bosh.
ESPN.com's Marc Stein reports that the organization has Miami Heat big man Chris Bosh lined up as a secondary target.
Per Stein, "Sources told ESPN.com on Thursday night that the Rockets -- while still holding out hope that Anthony will choose them after hosting him Wednesday in Houston -- have already let Bosh know how interested they are in bringing the Dallas native back to Texas."
Ken Berger of CBS Sports has the latest news on Bosh:
"Thus, with James waiting for Heat president Pat Riley to revamp the roster and with Dwyane Wade leaving $42 million on the table at age 32, Bosh is the member of the Big Three most likely to break away. Multiple league sources say there will be a close-to-max market for Bosh if Anthony and James stay with their respective teams. One of those people, an executive with a rival team, said the growing belief around the league is that Bosh would prefer a four-year max deal with another team to a discounted longer deal with Miami."
If Bosh chooses to sign with the Rockets, analysts said that it would be the perfect Big 3.
CBSSports.com's Matt Moore adds:
"Bosh would be a tremendous fit in Houston. He pairs expertly with Dwight Howard as a pick-and-roll-defending stretch-four who could balance the Rockets' offense and work as a pick and pop partner with James Harden. He would instantly help form one of the best defensive frontcourts in the league with their ability to defend all over the court, and give them a veteran who has no discernible injury issues and an attitude that wouldn't clash with Harden or Howard.
