Fans will surely be pleased with the "Fast and Furious 7" latest news because they will be able to watch the late Paul Walker and the rest of the gang earlier than the release date. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the producers will be moving the date a week earlier.

The website reported, "Universal Pictures announced today that the racing movie, most recently set for release April 10, 2015, will now open April 3, 2015. The studio is planning a worldwide day-and-date opening for the movie and decided that opening a week earlier allowed it to book more international playdates."

The latest "Fast and Furious" sequel started its principal photography last September 2013 and was supposed to be released this summer 2014. However, they stopped the film production after Paul Walker's tragic car accident last November 30, 2013. This could also be the last sequel of the Fast franchise because the movie won't be the same without their lead star.

It was a difficult time for everyone, but thankfully they resumed filming last April and announced that Paul Walker's brothers will be filling in his scenes and that it will be released in theaters on April 10, 2015. The "Fast and Furious 7" latest news also revealed that Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) and martial arts expert Tony Jaa have finished filming their scenes.

Director James Wan made the announcement on his Twitter account and he even posted photos of himself with the two actors separately. Tyrese Gibson and Ludacris also wrapped up their scenes a few weeks earlier.

Choosing the month of April for the film franchise's release date could also be about superstition. April seems to be lucky for the "Fast and Furious" because two of the film series did well in the box office. The fourth installment brought in a whooping $70 million on its opening weekend.

Another probable reason that they chose to move the date a week earlier is to avoid competition. There aren't any big budget movies being released that month so they are competing with a Disney documentary "Monkey Kingdom" and Sony's "Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2".

They will be ahead of their biggest competition, "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" which will hit the theaters on May 1, 2015. We will continue to update you with "Fast and Furious 7" latest news as the cast and crew goes full throttle in finishing up the film.
