BabyMetal is a Japanese metal and dance group. Their genre is like "bubble gum" meets "devil", that's what Pentatonix member Scott Hoying description on BabyMetal, or a bipolar who has cute in front with the little darkness inside.

Recently, the group performed in one of the shows of Lady Gaga, and they are also scheduled for other Gaga's shows.

According to BlabberMouth, the heavy metal offshoot of the Japanese pop idol group SAKURA GAKUIN who performs distinctly Japanese mix of schoolgirl J-pop and metal, was interviewed at the U.K. The group was one of the performers of the edition of the Sonisphere festival held July 4-6 at Knebworth Park in Hertfordshire.

The group is aiming to create a new music genre and they called it "cute metal", which they confirmed during the interview. BabyMetal stated:

"Our goal is to start a new genre of metal called Kawaii Metal [Cute Metal]," BabyMetal said. "We are the only band making music in this genre right now and we want this genre to be accepted."

Last year, the group first on board was on the "Death Match Tour 2013" and was accompanied by a "full metal band."

Spring of 2013, 16 year old Suzuka Nakamoto graduated from junior high school, which also means she also "graduated" from the group SAKURA GAKUIN (consists of girls of up to junior high). However, the management decided not to dissolve BABYMETAL and continue their activities as a band.
