Kanye West New Album 2014: Rapper Kanye West has dropped unreleased songs that are part of his upcoming album, at a London club. This was after his performance at the Wireless Festival in Birmingham.
It is reported that West, who took over a DJ set on the night of July 6 at an exclusive club in London, did not just play one or two songs. The rapper played more than an album's worth of new tracks that are most likely part of his newest, upcoming album.
It's too bad that a leak of the unreleased tracks via camera or recording devices are highly unlikely, because these were not allowed in the venue. So far, no recordings or video from the night have been uploaded online.
Earlier in the Wireless Festival, the 37-year-old was already making headlines. West's performance at the festival was actually as a replacement for Drake, who fell ill and had to back out.
The rapper once again took the chance to break out into one of his infamous rants during his performance. According to NME, Kanye West new album 2014 announcement commenced with a 15-minute speech dressing down fashion labels, corporations, and other organizations he's been involved in.
"I'm not dissing Louis Vuitton. I'm not dissing the Gucci group and shit. I'm just saying, don't discriminate against me because I'm a black man, or because I'm a celebrity, to determine I can't create. Cause, you know, no black guy or celebrity's making no Louis Vuitton nothing." The tirade was met with boos from the audience.
Meanwhile, the listeners that were treated to West's 20 unreleased tracks may not have been able to upload any of it online, but that did not stop them from expressing their opinion on social media.
Jason Powell, who was in attendance at the club described the music as "dark," "hellish," and "groundshaking." He also shared that the whole thing lasted well over three hours. Another attendee, Brandon Sales, said the new music was "crazy."
