Host Brazil will be playing off against Germany for the semi-finals on Tuesday, 09 July 2014. The match will be one of the most awaited in the history of World Cup especially now with Neymar's absence. Supporters are definitely apprehensive about the upcoming match and spectators are waiting for Brazil's contingency plan.
In lieu of the recent events, Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari said that they will be able to cope without Neymar and with the team captain Thiago Silva suspended for the match. He said that they will not focus on the incident but on the task at hand-which is winning the World Cup. "In this match we will be playing not just for ourselves and everything we've ever dreamed of, but also for Neymar and everything he's done for us." he added.
Brazil's previous matches are being analyzed and the predictions of the match against Germany are coming out as the semi-final game is nearing. "Colombia against Brazil was a real fight with numerous fouls from both sides, not just the one foul against Neymar. You have to protect the players." German coach Joachim Low said.
Scolari refused to reveal who would replace Neymar, saying: "I know the starting line-up and when they walk on the field you will see why I made those choices. I will tell the Brazilian people that we are doing our best and doing what we think is necessary - all of us."
Germany, on the other hand, is on a positive vibe and is looking forward to their fourth successive World Cup semi-finals with the hope of reaching the finals since that defeat by Brazil. Low said that at this point of time, they will be facing the entire nation of Brazil especially that these recent events have definitely boosted the people's morale. He also refused to entertain the idea that the absence of Neymar and Silva will weaken Brazil.
The Brazilians, as for tradition, will fight for their country and will make sure that they reach the finals.
