Fans of George R.R. Martin have something new to look forward to. Following the successful release of his book "Game of Thrones," that has been adapted on television by HBO, the book-writing genius has confirmed another exciting title to his range - "Winds of Winter."

Multiple publications initially hinted that "Winds of Winter" will be released some time in 2017, that is, if Martin, just like "Harry Potter" author J.K. Rowling, writes 350 words of text on a daily basis, according to Independent.

However, Five Thirty Eight, a website that is well-known for statistical analyses estimated the book's release to sometime in October of 2017, if Martin ends up writing 250 words per day.

Despite the book's uncertain official release date, Martin previously confirmed back in 2012 that he has already completed 400 pages of the book. This may see a huge jump from the book's possible availability, originally.

However, Martin's UK publisher, Jane Johnson, confirmed that the book will not be released this year and revealed that she is unaware as to how many installments the series will have.

In an interview with the Guardian, Johnson said, "In all honesty only George knows how many books there will be in the series and he's not saying. Indeed, at this stage of his writing, with the many branching pathways of the characters' stories still to intersect, he may not know."

Meanwhile, Martin recently spoke with Entertainment Wise to dish on what readers may expect on his new series, which serves as a follow-up to "Game of Thrones" and "A Dance of Dragons."

"I think we're gonna start out with a big smash with the two enormous battles. We have more deaths, we have more betrayals. We have more marriages."

The "Winds of Winter" will be the sixth installment in the "Game of Thrones" series, according to Ecumenical News.
