The "Opie and Anthony" DJ's firing aftermath is anything but pretty as Jim Norton is brought on board to replace the controversial host following Anthony Cumia's racist rant. The alleged assault victim, meanwhile, continues his Twitter campaign for fans to cancel their subscriptions to SiriusXM.

Gregg "Opie" Hughes and Jim Norton will continue show despite being called "traitors" by fans, after the "Opie and Antony" DJ's firing.

The "Opie and Anthony" DJ's firing was announced Patrick Reilly, senior vice president for communications of SiriusXM as he told TheWrap: "SiriusXM has terminated its relationship with Anthony Cumia of the Opie & Anthony channel. The decision was made, and Cumia informed, late Thursday, July 3 after careful consideration of his racially-charged and hate-filled remarks on social media."

On July 8, Jim Norton addressed the issue on Twitter when he wrote: "People calling me and @OpieRadio traitors for not walking, please understand we're under contract. We love @AnthonyCumia more than you know."

Opie also tweeted that he "had a long talk with @SiriusXM me and @JimNorton will be back on the radio next monday to start to figure this out."

In the aftermath of Anthony Cumia's racist rants, the controversial host is not staying away from Twitter, as he mocked the station for giving away their subscription just to keep the fans from cancelling theirs.

"My buddy is canceling his Sirius service in front of me right now. They offered free service. Lol. Just to keep the sub #s there. Unreal," Anthony Cumia posted on July 8.

The "Opie and Anthony" DJ's firing was set off by Anthony Cumia's racist rants on Twitter when he posted a photo of a black woman he claimed to have assaulted her along with this caption: "Great pic of the C--- RAG b---- f--- animal pig face worthless meat sack s-t pile stink crotch ass stain rot bung..."

On July 8, Anthony Cumia explained the controversial tweet, when he wrote: "'animal & savage' were directed at people, like the one who attacked, who resort instantly to violence. It was far from a generalization."
