JK Rowling starts another HP craze as she writes about the return of the 34-year-old Harry Potter with 'threads of silver' in his black hair!
Pottermore.com has recently featured an impromptu reunion of Dumbledor's Army, but as of writing, the story is only available to website's subscribers. The 1500-word story is narrated from the perspective of Daily Prophet gossip correspondent Rita Skeeter who marks: "About to turn 34, there are a couple of threads of silver in the famous Auror's black hair, but he continues to wear the distinctive round glasses that some might say are better suited to a style-deficient twelve-year-old."
We already saw the much older Daniel Radcliffe with his co-stars in the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, but this time the grown up gang reunites in the VIP camping section at the Quidditch World Cup Final in the Patagonian Dessert. Also in attendance were Harry's wife Ginny Weasley with their two kids James and Albus. Neville Longbottom also made an appearance as he nurses a possible drinking problem.
Not a subscriber of Potter.com? Here are other spoilers you might want to know about Harry, Hermione, and Ron!:
Harry comes back with a scarred face and a scarred heart:
Harry returns with a brand new scar on his right cheek, and this just ignites a lot of mystery when it comes to the newest threat to the wizard world! Also, Rita Skeeter believes that The Chosen One is currently having relationship problems with Ron's sister Ginny, but they are doing a great job in covering it up by acting like a happily married couple.
Hermione is currently at the peak of success
Described as the 'the female fatale of the group' in the short story, Hermione is now closer to becoming the Deputy Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement. But the catch here is, she's also eyeing a higher position in the Ministry of Magic - could she be the next Minister?
Ron is not really well these days
The fictional gossip column implies that Ron has aged with his ginger hair 'thinning slightly'. He's once an employee of the Ministry of Magic but also left, to help brother George run his 'highly successful wizarding joke emporium Weasley's Wizard Wheezes'. The story also suggests that Ron is even suffering from a mental illness.
Should we look forward to bigger revelations?
What does JK Rowling really mean when she writes: "Harry Potter and his cohorts never claimed to be perfect! And for those who want to know exactly how imperfect they are, my new biography: Dumbledore's Army: The Dark Side of the Demob will be available from Flourish and Blotts on July 31st."
Will there be a new short story for Harry Potter fans? Apparently Rowling's spokesperson tells TheBookSeller.com that she has no plans creating further stories about older Harry.
