As the semi-final match between Argentina and Netherlands dawning, the fans of the South American team invaded the Copacobana beach to show their outmost support for La Albiceleste. The beach has turned white and blue stripes as the supporters flocked. Football has seemed to become a religion in Argentina and faith in the team is a must. Bagging the World Cup is not only dedicated to their countrymen but it is for the pride of their nation as well.

The players, especially Lionel Messi, have become their icons and heroes. The effort that the supporters give off for this tournament is inexplicable and outstanding-one may say. Gigantic billboards and posters are on display in Buenos Aires, and other tokens to show support are available too.

Football in Argentina is not in good shape and La Albiceleste has not won the World Cup since 1986. But today, the Argentinean's pride and faith for the team boost the morale of the players. Argentina started strong and has become the monster of the field. The Argentine invasion in Brazil has begun.

Argentina's biggest rival was Brazil; however, after the host Brazil turned their dream into a nightmare after the humiliating loss against Germany, the Argentine players are now coming off upbeat and positive in their match against Netherlands today. It was Brazil who was expected to make a comeback in this year's World Cup, but it seems like Argentina is the one on the right track of claiming the glittering victory dreamt by many-the World Cup victory.
