Google Glass 2 Explorer Price, Release Date Rumors: Open Beta Test Program $1500, AT&T To Offer Wearable Device

Google Glass 2 Explorer price, release date, rumors are gaining buzz on the social network scene. It has been a couple of years since Google 'outed' the wearable device at the Consumer Electronic Show as a protoype. Sales of the initial Google Glass were limited to the hand picked Explorer program, and now Google Glass 2 in a beta version looks ready to be shipped to consumers eagerly anticipating Google Glass 2 Explorer price, release date rumors.

According to Techno Buffalo, "AT&T could offer Glass at a subsidized price, meaning you'd pay just a few hundred dollars upfront, but end up paying the full price in regular monthly payments down the line. More likely, it will simply serve as another place where customers can walk in and try Google Glass first hand - an experience a majority of consumers haven't had yet."

That speculation was preceded by a tip by @evleaks on Twitter via Droid Life that a major U.S. carrier will have a 'first jab' at the computing head-wear. Techno Buffalo reiterated that @evleaks did not speculate that a carrier other than AT&T would be able to offer the smart-glasses.

At the moment Google Glass can be purchased by a U.S. citizen after a surprise announcement recently that Google's beta test program is open to consumers.
MSN reported earlier,

"Google is offering an option to add a titanium frame that can be fitted with prescription lenses or sunglasses from Maui Jim or Zeal Optics that can be clipped on. Google isn't charging extra for the titanium frame or sunglasses." This should be an incentive for those with prescription glasses to order the Google Glass 2.

Going back to Google's Glass 1-day program in April, the cream colored Google Glass was sold out before the end of the day. Though initial Google explorers and testers were selected from the Google I/O, currently, Glass Explorers can be found testing the wearable device through friend invites, universities and schools.
