After breaking high expectations of finally seeing the new Moto phone last May, mobile fanatics now set their eyes on its August or September release dates. Shall the company push through with this timeline, the new Moto X+1 (X2) will most likely compete with much awaited Apple and Samsung devices.
While waiting for the official announcement, one could only rely on leaks and claims emerging online. One of its retail stores for example asserted that Moto X2 has a 5.2" display rendering a 1080x1920p resolution. A 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 processor allegedly powers the device that comes with 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, microSD support, 12MP rear camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and a powerful 2900mAh battery. Android 4.4.4 KitKat is its rumored OS as well.
On the other hand, details about its price currently vary online. Some sites claim that this is Motorola's mid-range than high-end phone, while others predict that this will be within the $400 price range because of its enhanced features.
Verizon will reportedly offer Moto X2 with Incipio casing, which is made of Plextonium polycarbonate shell with an inner core for contact absorption.
Alongside this new smartphone, Motorola will also release the Moto 360 smartwatch on August, which will battle with other wearable from the aforementioned competitors.
