"Game of Thrones" spoilers revealed the HBO already accepted the fact that the show will move ahead of George R. R. Martin's books, as the cable network series earned 19 nominations for the 2014 Emmy Awards.

HBO programming head Michael Lombardo dished out "Game of Thrones" spoilers toTVLine when he said that they are not really too concerned about George R. R. Martin's slow pace. It is reported that season 5 of the series might already approach "Winds of Winter" territory.

The author acknowledged to Tages-Anzeiger, a Swiss newspaper, that his pace is slower than normal but it doesn't mean that he would not finish the "Winds of Winter" book.

"I have been slowing down. I don't know if it's the fact that I'm getting older - I think it's partly that," he said. "But I also think it's partly that the series is so much more successful that there's demands that come with success."

However, Michael Lombardo said that they are not trying to turn Westerson up on its head and just write whatever they want.

"We're not off on our own. George is an integral part of the creative team [and] every move is being choreographed very closely with him. We'll have to figure it out with George. We're in conversations with him," he said.

Michael Lombardo revealed potentially "Game of Thrones" spoilers, particularly on the future of the show as he said that executives are "not talking about ending the show in the next two years."

Meanwhile, according to TIME magazine, apart from the 19 nominations for "Game of Thrones," the cable network received an unprecedented 80 other nominations for the 2014 Emmy Awards, which added to its streak of the most Emmy awards in 14 yeasr.

Other HBO shows acknowledged by the award giving body was "True Detective," "The Normal Heart and "Silicon Valley."

Only the FX series "Fargo" managed to come close after receiving 18 nominations.
