Andrew Garfield In 'Avengers 2', Spotted On The Set! Leaked Picture Reveals A Spiderman Cameo, Hints Of A Crossover? Is The Photo Fake Or Legit?

If it's true and Andrew Garfield in Avengers 2 is legit, even a cameo would make every fan boy 's (and girl's) dream come true.

Marvel is likely receiving tons of fan mail requests, to consider changes in storyline and characters in the graphic novels. The company's foray into the film industry only feeds the frenzy, from veteran fans and those initiated by the film adaptations.

"The Avengers" film franchise is relatively new, but has gone through serious changes in lineup in the graphic novel series. With that considered, fans have been waiting with bated breath Marvel's decision to cross Spiderman and The Avengers' paths, even if the webbed crusader's involvement in "Age of Ultron" is only a fleeting cameo.

Hopes of an appearance spiked with a recent leaked pic, though. In what appears to be a photo of ongoing production, a hooded person is spotted among the crowds, with hints of a red mask and glove sticking out of a sleeve and collar. A close-up confirms it is indeed Spiderman, likely Andrew Garfield.

The supposed picture of Andrew Garfield in Avengers 2 was part of a Reddit post, also in this report. It looks like a normal photo, with director Josh Whedon coaching Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver) on set. Closer inspection of the left part of the picture hint of a Spiderman cameo for the movie, if indeed confirmed.

The man in the picture is indeed Andrew Garfield as Spiderman, but initial reaction of the online community speculates the picture was faked. For starters, it has been confirmed a Spiderman crossover is only possible in any Avengers film if Spidey is the focus of the plot, which is unlikely.

It looks like the semblance of Andrew Garfield as Spiderman was also placed in the picture, the cut image appears blurry compared to surrounding details. Still, anything could happen in the Marvel Universe, and it doesn't hurt to think Andrew Garfield in Avengers 2 will push through. At the very least, there's still "The Avengers 3" to look forward to (moviepilot.com).
