The Mass Effect 4 release date was revealed in Amazon UK's listing for ME4 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
In a report by the Examiner, the Mass Effect 4 release date as well it's pre-order made a surprising appearance on Amazon. The retailer has already listed Xbox One and PS4 versions of the upcoming title as well as the PC version.
Amazon lists down the Mass Effect 4 release date on December 31, 2014 even though Bioware hasn't officially announced anything yet.
Bioware provided a glimpse at some of the early concepts for Mass Effect 4 at E3 2014. However, no actual gameplay was shown, suggesting that the Mass Effect 4 release date may still be far away. A spokesperson from the development team recently confirmed that the project, which reportedly started in late 2012, is halfway in development. As a result, it may be coming out late next year at the earliest barring any production hiccups. To expedite development, Bioware will be using some of the tools created specifically for the aforementioned "Dragon Age Inquisition" for Mass Effect 4.
Gaming news Cyberland speculated that the Mass Effect 4 release date could be on October 2015, which they claimed would be the perfect time to release Mass Effect 4 because it would be a few months after E3 2015.
